
Man arrested after €758k worth of drugs seized in Ballyfermot

AS PART of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Ballyfermot, a search was carried out at a number of houses in Ballyfermot on Monday afternoon, January 13.
A Garda spokesperson said in a statement released this morning that during the search gardai seized cannabis resin, cocaine, MDMA and heroin with an estimated street value of €758,000 (subject to analysis).
Other drug related paraphernalia and documentation was also seized.
One man was arrested.
The Garda spokesperson said: “One man (early 30s) was arrested during the searches in Ballyfermot and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
“This man remains in custody and investigations ongoing.”
