Man arrested after Gardai seize gun and ammunition in Crumlin

As part of an operation targeting organised criminal groups in the Crumlin area Detective Gardaí from Sundrive Road Garda Station arrested a 24-year-old man on Tuesday night shortly after 9pm.

Gardaí stopped and searched a car and its occupant close to Old County Road, Dublin 12 and discovered a firearm and ammunition.

The man was arrested at the scene.

He is currently detained at Sundrive Road Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
