A CLONDALKIN pub on New Years Day was the scene of a serious assault, Blanchardstown District Court has heard.
Troy Davidson allegedly assaulted another man with a glass.
Davidson, aged 23, with an address at Deansrath Road, Clondalkin, is charged with assaulting a named male causing him harm at Quinlan’s, Orchard Road, Clondalkin, on January 1, 2016.
Judge David McHugh asked what was alleged.
Sergeant Maria Callaghan said it will be alleged that on January 1, 2016, the injured party was on the dance floor of Quinlan’s pub when Davidson hit him with a glass to the side of his head.
She said it will be alleged that the glass shattered on impact.
Sgt. Callaghan said the injured party suffered lacerations to his face.
Judge McHugh accepted jurisdiction.
He remanded Davidson on continuing bail to a date in May for a plea or a date.
