Man in critical condition following alleged assault

A MAN in his early twenties is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital following an alleged assault on the Blessington Road yesterday evening.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (March 12) at around 6pm, with a man receiving serious head injuries.
In a statement to The Echo today, a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating a serious assault that occurred on the Blessington Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
“A man in his early 20s was assaulted at a premises and received serious head injuries.
“He was treated at scene by DFB and brought to Tallaght Hospital where he remains in critical condition.”
Investigations surrounding the assault are ongoing.
