Man to appear in court in relation to Crumlin stabbing

An 18-year-old male who had been detained in relation to the fatal stabbing in Seagull House, Rutland Ave on Saturday is scheduled to appear before Court Number 3, The Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street this morning at 10.30am charged in connection with the investigation.

The 18-year-old female who had also been detained in relation to the investigation was released without charge in the early hours of this morning.

A file will be prepared for The Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardai were called to the area on Saturday afternoon where they found a man with serious injuries.

He was brought to St James Hospital after the attack where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
