Man United legends to play exhibition match

A TEAM of former Manchester United players are being brought over for a number of events on August 3 by the Man Utd Supporters Club Ballyfermot and Ballyfermot United.

Events include a charity match at the Coldcut pitch, a meet and greet at the Manhattan Bar, and a gala dinner in the Clayton Hotel.

Former players attending are expected to include Jaap Stam, Brian McClair, Karel Poborsky, Paul Parker, Frank Stapleton, Eric Djemba Djemba, Clayton Blackmore and Keith Gillespie.

Influencers and guests include Tadgh and Derry Fleming, Nasti, Conor Ryan, Owen Colgan.

David Kavanagh, Ballyfermot United, said: “We are delighted to be bringing over a Man Utd Legends XI to play an exhibition match against ourselves and Man Utd Supporters Club Ballyfermot. This match will be a fundraising event for both clubs.

“There are three events on the day that we are bringing to Ballyfermot and Dublin. The meet and greet in the Manhattan pub from 12 noon to 1.30pm, an exhibition match in our Coldcut facility at 3pm and a gala dinner in the Clayton Hotel at 7pm. You can get up to three items signed and photos with all players.”
