Maura was a much loved member of citizens group

LUCAN Senior Citizens paid tribute to “much loved” former member Maura O’Reilly, who sadly passed away on December 31.

“We were shocked and saddened to learn of the unexpected death of our friend Maura O’Reilly. Maura was a valued and much loved member of our Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed all the activities and outings. A kind and gentle lady who always spoke so lovingly of her family. We will miss Maura’s gentle presence and lovely smile on Wednesdays,” the group said.

Maura (née Kenny), a Dodsboro Cottages resident passed away at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, surrounded by her family.

A message on RIP.ie said Maura is “sadly missed by her loving daughters Annette and Caroline, son Martin” and extended family and friends.

A funeral service was held at St Patrick’s Church, Esker, Lucan on January 4, followed by burial in Esker Cemetery.
