Missing Leo found in Tallaght after 8 days away from his loving owner
On Friday we shared the story of Jamie Greene from Jobstown and her missing Beagle, Leo, and this morning we have lovely news as he has been reunited with his owner.
Jamie had taken Leo in after he was rescued by the ISPCA following six years of horrific abuse on a puppy farm.
Although he had settled well in his new home, a sudden fright on August 4 saw him bolt from the house.
Jamie, along with here family and friends launched an appeal to help find Leo, and on Friday Echo.ie joined the call for help in finding the beloved dog.
After the post went live on Friday night it was shared hundreds of times in a few hours, and yesterday morning a search team assembled to try and track down the pooch.
Speaking with Echo.ie Jamie said: “We got our Leo back this morning after he was sighted. Loads came out to help after hearing from the Echo article.
“He was wandering in Tallaght, around the village and the Square, and after a two hour chase and multiple volunteers helping we got him in Springfield.
“He’s skinny but overall ok. I’m so grateful to you for helping. I probably would not of got him otherwise. So thank you so much for your help.”
What a lovely story to begin our Sunday with.
