THE murder of 14-year-old schoolgirl Ana Kriegel was the “straw that broke” the back of former State Pathologist Marie Cassidy, who decided to quit following the horrific case.
Gardai found Ana’s body at a vacant farmhouse on Clonee Road, between Lucan and Clonsilla, during a large-scale search in May 2018 – three days after she left her Leixlip home with a boy from her class.
