National Transport Authority go-ahead for Belgard plans
THE NATIONAL Transport Authority (NTA) has received planning permission for a development that includes the closure of the slip road from Belgard Square South onto the N81 to accommodate the increase in the volume of buses in the area because of the changes proposed under BusConnects.
THE NTA stated in its planning that the volume of buses is set to increase from 22 to 49 buses per hour and the plans lodged show a layover facility on a section of Belgard Square South, beside The Square, The Plaza Hotel and close to Tallaght Garda Station and will help facilitate the new development.
