
One in three children from disadvantaged areas are obese
RESEARCH by the HSE reveals one in three children from disadvantaged areas are overweight or obese, compared to the average of one in five children nationally.
Speaking at the launch of a five-year public health campaign by Safefood, Dr Aileen McGloin, director of nutrition at the organisation cited recent research from Dublin City Council, which includes a comparison between Cherry Orchard and Ballsbridge.
