Over €35k given to local groups

THIRTY Community and Voluntary groups have received grants in the final round of South Dublin County Council’s Community Grants Programme.

The grant applications are assessed by the council’s Community Department under a number of different criteria, including the impact on local community and community involvement and sustainability.

Adamstown Youth and Community Centre

The total sum awarded under the final round of funding came to €35,167.

Palmerstown Wood Residents Association received €500 towards running costs.

The Clondalkin/Lucan Women’s Network got a grant of €500 for running costs.

Adamstown Youth and Community Centre received €2,000 for equipment. Firhouse Scouting Ireland received €1,000 for equipment. Knocklyon Ladies Club got €500 for running costs.

Palmerstown Community and Youth Centre received €2,000. The Park Community Centre got €4,000 for equipment. St Mark’s Youth and Family Centre received €4,000 for equipment and Newcastle Lyons Development Trust got €2,000 for equipment.
