
Over €120k allocated in community grant funding
OVER €120k worth of grants have been approved for local groups in the recent round of South Dublin County Council’s Community Grants funding, with the majority being used to fund summer projects.
The highest level of funding was awarded to the Killinarden Community Council, which received €7,000 for its summer project.
Sensory Fun With Friends and the Fettercairn Community and Youth Centre have been awarded €5,000 each for their summer projects.
Other summer projects were granted €4,000 each, including The Park Community Centre, the WEB Project, the Holy Spirit Summer Project, and the Whitechurch Ballyboden Summer Project.
Summer projects by Lucan Youth Fun, the Kilnamanagh Family Recreation Centre, and the Knockmitten Youth and Community Centre received funding of €3,500 each.
A grant of €5,000 was awarded to the 168th St Aengus Tymon North Scout Group to fund a major equipment upgrade, while €3,200 went to the Friends of St Cuthbert’s for a family fun day.
The North Clondalkin Community Safety Programme has received a grant of €1,430 for its Easter community celebration, while the Clondalkin Women’s Network got €1,500 for Bealtaine festivities.
