Owners asked to leash their dogs after elderly woman almost knocked down
OWNERS were asked to leash their dogs following an incident at a Crumlin church, during which an elderly woman was nearly knocked down by a dog.
The reminder was posted by Fr Tony in St Agnes Church newsletter this week. Fr Tony said the woman loves to visit the Crumlin village church, spending time is quiet prayer and lighting candles when she is visiting her daughter in the area.
“On one occasion about two weeks ago, while in the church a dog came running towards her and caused her to become very frightened, almost knocking her down,” said Fr Tony.
“The dog was not on a lead but allowed to run free. If a dog is brought to the church with you, will you please ensure that you keep the dog on a lead so that any vulnerable or older person is not damaged or frightened in any way.”
