Parkwest tanning facilities approved

PLANS for the change of use of an existing retail unit on Canal Walk in Parkwest to instead house tanning facilities have been given the green light by Dublin City Council.

Applicant Libratech Ltd outlined plans for the change of use to include tanning facilities, nail care and associated beauty treatments and ancillary use.

Provisions for a new external canopy and signage, and all associated internal and external alterations and siteworks were included in the application.

Dublin City Council granted permission for the change of use on December 11 with a number of conditions. One of these conditions stipulates that a window display shall be maintained at all times, and the glazing to the shopfront shall be kept free of all stickers, posters and advertisements in the interests of visual amenity.
