Partas host gathering of EU project partners in Tallaght
PARTAS, the Tallaght local enterprise development organisation, last week hosted a gathering of project partners from Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Finland.
The project is called IV4J which stands for ‘Innovation in Vocational Educational Training for Jobs’.
Their aim is to innovate in Vocational Training in Europe by compiling new approaches that will make for more interesting classes and better employment opportunities.
They hope to achieve this by creating the right environment for students to thrive both in the classroom but more importantly in the labour market.
The project will create a series of guides that will be freely available on all our communication channels.
The areas where their outputs will focus on are: Entrepreneurship education, Work-Based Learning, Creative Problem Solving Methodology, Web 2.0 tools for VET, Gamification, Simulation and Digital storytelling, Open Educational Resources and ECVET implementation.
Partas will implement these new insights into their own training programmes. David Brady, Training Manager at Partas believes that such EU projects and partnerships help to ensure that Partas remains at the cutting edge of training and implementing best practice from around Europe. The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the EU.
The group very much enjoyed their visit to Tallaght including their accommodation in the Plaza hotel and the tasty food on offer at the new County Fare artisan food hub which is located in Partas in Tallaght village.
They even managed to enjoy a tipple or two of Tallaght’s own local beer Original Sin from Priory Brewing!
