Pedestrian hospitalised after traffic collision on Tallaght Bypass

ALL roads have re-opened after a traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the Tallaght Bypass last night.

According to a Garda spokesperson, the collision occurred shortly before midnight on Monday, June 24.

The spokesperson said: “The male pedestrian was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are understood to be non-life threatening.”

A section of the N81 was closed this morning to facilitate a technical examination of the scene.

Diversions were in place at the junctions of Fortunestown Road and Citywest Road however, all roads are now open.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, gardai said.
