Peter Panto: Clondalkin drama group thrilled with performances
Clondalkin Drama Group’s performance of ‘Peter Panto’ went incredibly well; in fact, it could have been their best presentation to date.
They were thrilled to sell out on their second weekend.
They were so full for the first Sunday show that they had to turn away a few people, so they may need to search for a larger space in the future.
The audiences were excellent, and it appeared like everyone was having a great time.
At the conclusion of each panto, the cast would receive many pictures, compliments, and embraces from the crowd, many of which were families with young children.
They’re starting to gain some recognition in Clondalkin, and it’s been encouraging to hear from people who say they eagerly anticipate their performances each year.
On the second weekend, they almost ran into trouble when Alan McNally, who was both their director and Captain Hook’s actor, was too unwell to perform.

Fortunately, Jake Kelly, another member of their group, was able to take over and continue using the script.
He took full advantage of it, and the crowd was very forgiving.
The show must go on! All things considered, they’re thrilled with how ‘Peter Panto’ went and hope that its success will continue to be a trend for their group.
They appreciate everyone who came out and helped them, and they kindly ask that you keep an eye out for them going forward.
Keep an eye on their social media channels, as they will shortly reveal the details of their next show.
Additionally, they would like to invite everyone to support them in their efforts to establish a legitimate arts centre for Clondalkin, which would allow all theatre, music, and dance groups to have a dedicated performance area.
This, in their opinion, is extremely significant for our culture and community.
