Petrol station plans lodged for M50 Business Park

AN APPLICATION has been lodged for a significant petrol station development in Ballymount by Petrogas Group Ltd who operate the Applegreen brand.

According to plans lodged on January 3, the proposed development will sit in the M50 Business Park on Ballymount Avenue, Dublin 12.

Plans for the development, include a petrol station with a six-pump island and overhead canopy, a high-grade vehicle (HGV) filling station and an ancillary retail and food sales building with a total area of 672.39sq.m.

Included within the development is a drive-through restaurant, a cafe/deli, a seating area of 197sq.m., convenience shop (100sq.m.), restrooms and staff and storage space.

The proposed Applegreen development also includes plans for associated signage, including two internally illuminated totem signs, canopy and building-mounted signage.

Associated site works for the proposed development include 76 car parking spaces, three HGV parking spaces, two coach parking spaces, 40 bicycle spaces, underground fuel tanks, a sustainable drainage system, site lighting and landscaping.

Vehicular access is proposed from Ballymount Avenue. Plans also include vehicular egress to the access road to the south west, which serves Fashion City to the south of Ballymount Avenue and Ballymount Road Upper.

The proposed development amends current planning permission for a petrol filling station, including the ancillary retail and cafe unit and drive-through restaurant on the Ballymount site.
