Eight places to take your mam locally this Mother’s Day

If you're surprising your mam with a special day out this Sunday, check out these eight, local venues.
1. Old Mill Bar
If it’s not unusual for your mam to be swayed by the sounds of Tom Jones, then the Old Mill might be the perfect spot for a family dinner on Sunday.
The Old Mill, on Old Bawn Road, is also hosting a Tom Jones tribute night on Sunday, with food served between 12pm and 8pm.
2. Molloys Bar and Grill
Molloys Bar and Grill in Tallaght village is letting you treat your mother like never before this weekend.
Molloys is offering a special two-course carvery lunch for €15.95 from 12pm to 6pm.
The restaurant is also offering a two- and three-course meal from 7pm to 10pm for €25/€30.
There will be live music from pop/rock band Jaker on the day too.
3. Maldron Hotel – Newlands Cross
If you’re a mam yourself and want to spend the day with the kids, then the Grain and Grill restaurant have you covered for lunch.
The restaurant, based in the Maldron Hotel in Newlands Cross, has a family meal offer this weekend from €35, including main courses for two adults, two kids and cordial and ice cream for the little ones.
This offer is available from 12pm to 5pm and applies to kids aged 12 and under.
4. Red Cow Inn
The Red Cow Inn is hosting the ultimate Mother Day’s Party this weekend.
The hotel’s resident panto queen Dame Stuffy will host the event, with comedian Dave Young on the bill for some side-splitting humour.
The ABBA Girls will also be performing on the night.
Doors open from 1:30pm and the show is on from 3pm to 9pm
5. Green Isle Hotel
The Green Isle Hotel in Clondalkin has the perfect way to do brunch this Sunday, with their Bubbles and Brunch special.
The brunch offer is €23.95 per person and includes three courses and mimosas on arrival, from 11:30am to 3pm.
There will be live entertainment from Franke Bublé throughout.
6. Maldron Hotel Tallaght
The Grain and Grill in the Maldron Hotel Tallaght is another great lunch special this Sunday, with a four-course meal.
The Mother’s Day lunch package includes a glass of bubbles for the adults and a complimentary gift for mum, incase you forgot to pick something up!
There will also be live music from 5pm to 7pm in the bar.
7. Elm Gastro Bar
The Elms Gastro Bar in Lucan is having a lunch special for €16.95 which includes lunch, dessert and a complimentary glass of wine, from 12pm.
8. Woodlock at Citywest Hotel
Mother’s Day is definitely a day that calls for afternoon tea.
The Woodlock Brasserie, which was recently awarded “The Best Place to Eat in 2017” , in the Citywest Hotel, is having high tea from €25, with lunch from €14.95.
