Planning sought for 26 two bedroom units in Swiftbrook

PLANNING permission is being sought for the development of 26 two bedroom units in Swiftbrook in Saggart.

The applicant Briargate Developments is seeking permission to erect 13 maisonettes within the residential estate of Drury Mills in Crossforge, Swiftbrook in Saggart.

The proposed development will include two terraced buildings.

One of the proposed buildings will provide 18 two bedroom units across nine maisonettes, while the other building will contain eight two bedroom units across four maisonettes.

Briargate Developments, which lists Carmel Neville, Anthony Neville and Karen Doran as the company directors, has also included plans for associated car parking and ancillary site works in their planning permission application.

The proposed development will be in the curtilage of a number of protected structures which formed part of Swiftbrook Mill.

These structures include the rag store, the chimney, the tail race, the mill ponds and the mill gates.

Briargate Developments has previously been granted planning permission for a number of housing developments in the Swiftbrook area of Saggart.

The closing date for third party submissions on their current planning permission application is April 28, with a decision due from South Dublin County Council by May 16.
