
Rás Ráth Cúil 5k promoting fitness, Ghaeilge agus an cultúr
On Sunday, October 14, people of all ages and fitness levels are invited to Commercials Hurling Club in Rathcoole to take part in a fun run under the supervision of Olympian runner, John Treacy.
Rás Ráth Cúil 5k is a 5k course that will finish back at the clubhouse for entertainment celebrating everything Irish.

“Rás Ráth Cúil 5k is a great example of encouraging families to get fit together and use their cúpla focail” said Councillor Emer Higgins.
“Exercise is so beneficial for people of all ages and it's great to see community initiatives encouraging people, particularly those who wouldn't usually run, to lace-up and take on the challenge,” added Cllr Higgins.
“Taking part in the event will be John Treacy and also Giggles the clown who will be encouraging people to chat as Ghaeilge along the route.”
Commercials Hurling Club plays an important and positive role in the community and their committee is fantastic for promoting fitness, an Ghaeilge agus an cultúr.
