Residents furious over vandalism of flowers and plants in community
By Maurice Garvey
FLOWER plants were targeted once again by vandals in Palmerstown recently – not the first time this summer the colourful additions to the community have been attacked.
There were reports of flower plants vandalised on Manor Road and at the Oval on Friday night, August 10.

Residents voiced their anger online at the “mindless” acts and that it is “awful to see someone’s hard work being destroyed.”
“These planters are placed each year to add a splash of colour to the Community. We all get to enjoy it, and we all have a role in protecting it,” said Palmerstown Neighbourhood Watch.
“If you know who it was, please have a word with them.”
In June, Palmerstown Tidy Town volunteers blasted the work of a thief who stole plants from a number of planters on the street.
