Saggart man’s brilliant unofficial Guinness ad goes viral

A video created by Saggart native Tadhg Ennis and his fellow Miami Ad School student Brendan Irving went viral over the weekend.

The video, which pays homage to Guinness, was published on Youtube on St Patrick’s Day, and today is trending number two in Ireland.

Speaking about the video that was shot in downtown New York, they said: “To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, Miami Ad School students from the New York campus Tadhg Ennis and Brendan Irving have released a brand-new Guinness spec.

“While both working as bartenders to pay their tuition, they came up with the idea to make a branded content piece that celebrates the correlation between the bartender and a pint of Guinness.

“The two teamed up with producer and fellow Irishman Brian O’ Carroll (Blue Caprice) and director Nicholas Gray (The Paper Store) to fully realize the one-minute spot.

The advert is also a tribute to bartenders, who the two say are, “philosophers, comedians, artists, and rogues”.

They finished by saying, “This work comes from the bottom of our hearts to the bottom of your glass”.
