Scoil Treasa put the Boot’ down
SCOIL Treasa cruised to the Sciath Cumann na nGael following their 4-18 to 1-7 rout of Booterstown BNS in Croke Park on Monday.
The Firhouse side had raced eight points in front by the halftime break, scoring the first of four goals in that period through Luke Perry while co-captain’s Alex Dunne and Darragh Delaney were very influential from midfield.

Conor Lougheed also figured among the goalscorers in the second half when he doubled fisted a high ball to the bottom corner before playing a major part in Alex McCabe’s goal.
Indeed, his pressure robbed the Booterstown full back of possession as the ball broke to Alex McCabe and he duly put it away.
Perry then bagged his second goal of the match when he broke through the Booterstown cover and unloaded a strike to the bottom right.
Able the run the bench, Treasa benefitted greatly from the superb marshalling of centre half back Marven Chan while wing back Liam Dargan produced some marauding runs deep into opposition territory.
Shane McGrath was very cool in goal while Tadhg Farrelly served up a rock solid display at full back to help see his side make it over the line.
It is a major step forward in schools football for Scoil Treasa who have enjoyed their fair share of hurling success in recent years.
