Seminar for sufferers of chronic lung disease

A SEMINAR for sufferers of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), which will be presented by staff from Tallaght University Hospital, will be held in Rua Red tomorrow, Thursday, October 17 from 10am until midday.

The hospital staff will showcase the new bundle of care for acute exacerbations of COPD currently in use in the Emergency Department/AMAU, and will also discuss the DECAF tool, which predicts the outcomes of patients with exacerbations of COPD, with the group.

Among the attendees will be Louise Cullen, a COPD Outreach nurse specialist, Ciara Scallan, senior physiotherapist in COPD Outreach, and Sarah Cunneen, a senior respiratory physiotherapist.
