
Several local businesses in the running for Best of Dublin awards
The Best of Dublin finalists have been revealed and several local businesses have made the final, including Tallaght’s favourite restaurant, Peachtree East which is in the running for the Best Restaurant award.
GK Café in Tymon have also made the final for the Best Breakfast, while Just Wing It made the top five in the Best Takeaway category.
The much talked about East Village Café in Clondalkin has been included on the final list in the Best Coffee category, while Beautique Beauty Salon in Walkinstown and Red Velvet in Crumlin are in the running for the Best Salon Accolade.
Both Old County Barbers and Hairlough Barbers in Clondalkin will be battling it out for the crown of Best Barber, while Seezers and Seers Butchers in Citywest will be one of five in the running for Best Butcher.
The Abberley Court in Tallaght has been listed as one of the five finalists in the Best Bar nominees list, while Ballyfermot’s Christy Carey who some may remember from RTE’s ‘Toughest Place To Be’ is up for Best Bus driver on his 27 route.
Both Ballyboden St Enda’s and Crumlin Boxing Club have been named among the five listed in the Best Sports Club list, while Dublin senior football team manager and Clondalkin native Jim Gavin is the running for the Best Dub prize.
