IT TALLAGHT badminton player Katie Frost scooped her first National Senior Ladies Singles title after she beat Rachel Darragh 21-16 21-12 in the women’s final.

BALLYFERMOT man Roy Baker was elected the new President of World Association of Kickboxing Organisations, receiving an overwhelming majority of the votes with 47 of the 51 countries eligible to vote choosing him.

FIVE-time World Cham-pion kickboxer Shauna Bannon made a seamless transition to the world of MMA when she dished out a TKO win over her Belfast opponent Catherine McFadden.

IN THE U16B Boys All-Ireland Schools decider, a clinical display by Adamstown Community College saw them crowned crowned champions following a 57-46 win against Coláiste Bhaile Chláir of Galway.

DRIMNAGH Boxing Club’s Patryk Adamus came through a slow start to eventually take a 3-2 split decision in the National Elite 57kg decider, while Crumlin Boxing Club’s Leona Houlihan won by the same margin in the National Elite 80kg final.
