AT THE 2019 Irish Open in Citywest Convention Centre, Tallaght Martial Arts recorded one of their best showings at the competition, winning 12 gold, six silver and 17 bronze, while Bushido Clondalkin finished with five bronze, and the Riddell brothers Zak and Jake took gold and bronze medals back to LJays Elite.

IT WAS a clean sweep for Liffey Celtics in the Dublin Women’s and Girls Basketball Cup Finals, bagging the Under 13,14,15,17,18 and Senior honours.

DSD’S Peadar McGing departed the National Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships in Athlone laden down with medals after winning the M60 200m, 400m, High Jump and Long Jump while also finishing runner-up in the 60m.

ALSO at National Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships, Lucan Harriers AC struck gold with their Ladies Relay team of Claire Johnston, Carol Kearney, Laura McAteer and Annette Durkan, as Kearney also topped the podium in the W50 400m.

DONORE Harriers were no strangers to the podium either, winning five gold, two silvers and one bronze.

GRIFFITH College joined forces with Templeogue Basketball Club to provide 12 full scholarships to six male and six female players.

TEMPLEOGUE Bas-ketball Club saw two of their five Dublin Cup finalists scoop county honours when the Under 14 Boys won their respective decider and the Division Five Men’s secured the Junior Cup.

Templeogue Under 14 Boys took on Dublin Sonics in the Dublin Cup decider and ran out 86-43 winners.

DUBLIN Lions made it two from two in the Dublin Cup Final after both their Under 18s and 13s emerged triumphant from their respective title games.

ÉANNA Under 12s recorded a 47-31 point victory over UCD Marian to raise the Dublin Cup.

AFTER a stunning season that culminated with the Men’s National Basketball League title and a return to the Super League ranks, DBS Éanna were declared The Echo Team of the Month for March.

TALLAGHT Martial Arts students turned in tremendous performances at the Kickboxing Ireland National Championships in Carrickmacross, winning 33 gold, 12 silver and six bronze medals.
