BALLYBODEN St Enda’s beat Thomas Davis in the Dublin Senior Football Championship Final 0-15 to 0-9 to claim their fourth county title and their first since 2015, and sealed a spot in the Division One League Final.
SHAMROCK Rovers bridged a 32-year gap when they beat Dundalk 4-2 to lift the FAI Cup.

ANTHONY Rainbow’s side progressed on to the Leinster Senior Football Champion-ship were they carded victories over Newtown Blues and Garrycastle en route to the final, and were later named The Echo Team of the Month for November.
THERE was an abundance of Under 15 Hurling Shield success with local clubs as Ballyboden St Enda’s, Commercials and Lucan Sarsfields all claimed their respective titles.
MORE local success came in the small ball game when Thomas Davis, St Anne’s and Ballyboden St Enda’s all won their Under 13 Camogie titles.
IRELAND Women’s Hockey team scraped past the challenge of Canada to subsequently clinch their place at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
KAMIL Farlowski became Newlands Taekwon-Do’s first European champion after he beat clubmate Bartosz Bien in the ITF European Tawkwon-do Championships in Sarajevo.

IN IMPRESSIVE fashion, Aoife O’Leary struck 5-3 for St Mark’s in their Under 16 Division Five Football Championship Final as they ran out 5-6 to 1-8 champions against Crumlin.
FULL Forward Katie Whelan tallied 2-5 in the Under 16 Football Division Two Shield Final as her Round Towers side ran out 4-8 to 3-7 winners against Skerries Harps
THERE was plenty of movement in the SSE Airtricity League with Robbie Benson and Jay McClelland joining St Patrick’s Athletic, while Shamrock Rovers purged a trio of strikers from the club with Graham Cummins, Sean Boyd and Orhan Voijic all departing the club.

PALMERSTOWN Shoto-kan Karate Club enjoyed a strong finish to the year which featured a podium-topping finish for Aoife Sammon at the Kanazawa Nationals and a bronze medal at the 27th SKDUN World Karate Championships.
IN HER final event of a busy 2019, South Dublin Taekwondo’s Emma Cahill wrapped up her competitive season with a superb bronze at the Paris Open.
