Students shine in Huawei 2024 European Seeds for the future
Huawei Ireland announced the results and awards of the 2024 European Seeds for the Future project, following a week of activities held last month.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone as the first in-person gathering after the online-only editions in recent years.
Among the 145 top students from 23 European countries, Ireland’s delegation of 10 students from six universities achieved remarkable success.
Ciara O’Reilly from Balbriggan who is studying Mechatronic Engineering at Dublin City University (DCU), Faith Olopade from Swords who is studying Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin and Chirag Joshi from Clondalkin who is studying Mechatronics Engineering at DCU were among the 10 successful students who represented Ireland at this year’s event.
Faith Olopade and Chirag Joshi were part of team Upstream who also made it into the top 10 in the region.
Both innovative projects leveraged 5G network and AI models for real-time analysis and connectivity.
