Sutcliffe’s criticism of gardai being heavy-handed leads to a barrage of criticism from fellow councillors

NEWLY elected Independent Ireland councillor Philip Sutcliffe was on the receiving end of a barrage of criticism from his fellow councillors after he criticised “heavy-handed action” by gardai at the protests in Coolock.

Cllr Sutcliffe was speaking at the Dublin South Central area meeting following a Motion put forward by Cllr Daithí Doolan (SF) which condemned the violence.
