Tallaght chef named among most influential Irish people on London restaurant scene

A Tallaght chef has been named as one of the most influential Irish people on the London restaurant scene in the annual Murphia List

Aylesbury native Andy McFadden, an IT Tallaght culinary graduate, has been included on the list for the first time for his work at Michelin-starred restaurant Pied a Terre.

It’s the third year the Murphia list has been complied by those behind the hugely influential restaurant website, Hot Dinners, which is renowned for being the first place anyone from the industry goes before heading out for dinner.

McFadden was previously hailed as London’s youngest Michelin-starred chef when he worked at L’autre – the sister restaurant of Pied a Terre.

He took over the reins as Executive Head Chef at the latter in late 2015, and has been hailed as a great ambassador for the culinary arts programme in IT Tallaght.
