A TALLAGHT chipper has raised more than €800 for the family of Kyle Finnegan Hooper, a 12-year-old boy who tragically passed away in September.

Roma Takeaway in Springfield donated 10 per cent of all sales made over a two-week period to Kyle’s family – which resulted in a donation of €802.70.

Staff at the local chipper were moved to support Kyle’s family following the young boy’s passing from a suspected asthma attack on September 21.

Kyle, who was a passionate footballler and football fan, had asthma since he was four-years-old, and even though an inhaler was used he sadly succumbed to the suspected asthma attack.

The young boy’s funeral was held a week after his passing in the Church of Incarnation, Fettercairn.

Irsan Talla, owner of Roma Takeaway, told The Echo: “We know his whole family – his uncles, his aunties, his mam and dad and we knew Kyle as well.

“We wanted to do it for the Tallaght community.

“We just wanted to show that we do care about our locals, and when this happened we wanted to give back…and I’m happy we could do this.”

Kyle’s passing touched many, with a number of famous people including Bugzy Malone, Steven Gerrard and Tyson Fury also sending their condolences to the Finnegan Hooper family.
