Public reminded that Orange fire warning remains in place after grass fires in Tallaght
By Mark Keane
Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) tackled separate grass/vegetation fires in Kiltipper and Bohernabreena on Tuesday evening, which were reported within an hour of each other.
A Condition Orange fire warning remains in place with DFB advising people to take care near grass, gorse and bushes.
In a statement to The Echo today, a DFB spokesperson said that the Bohernabreena fire occurred behind The Old Mill and required “two pumps for about 45 minutes”. Rathfarnham Fire Station responded to this call, which was received at 5pm.

A crew from Tallaght Fire Station responded to the call concerning the "large grass fire" in Kiltipper, which occurred at the walkway between the nursing home and the road by the reservoir, came in at 5.46pm and required two pumps, according to the spokesperson.
Despite the recent rain, the Orange fire warning is still in place and DFB are recommending people take care near grass, gorse and bushes.
