Tallaght Hospital awarded Keep Well Mark

TALLAGHT University Hospital has become the first voluntary hospital in Ireland to be awarded the Keep Well Mark for its commitment to the health and wellbeing of staff.

An IBEC initiative, the Keep Well Mark assessment focuses on eight key themes of workplace wellbeing such as leadership, healthy eating, physical activity, mental health, and a smoke-free environment.

According to Tallaght University Hospital (TUH): “Feedback from the report highlighted the commitment from TUH to improving the wellbeing of its staff with strong support from senior management in promoting wellbeing throughout the organisation.

“A consistent theme from the focus groups was that staff regard TUH as a good employer and acknowledge the efforts the hospital is making in promoting wellbeing.

“Attaining The Keep Well Mark demonstrates TUH’s ongoing commitment to promoting and embedding a wellbeing ethos, and that the Hospital is forward-thinking in cascading wellbeing practices.”

TUH is also listed in the Top 100 Companies Leading in Wellbeing Index 2021.

The index, published in conjunction with IBEC and Business & Finance Magazine, acknowledges companies across Ireland leading the way for employee wellbeing, through their commitment to instilling a best practice approach.

Alongside being the first voluntary hospital to achieve the Keep Well Mark, TUH is the only voluntary hospital to be included in the Leading in Wellbeing Index.
