Tallaght Martial Arts to kickstart a busy new year

TALLAGHT Martial Arts will be kick-starting a busy season ahead with its own Open Tournament in Citywest on Saturday, January 27.

Declared ‘Club of the Year 2017’ at The Echo Sports Awards in December, TMA will be out in force for this curtain raiser to 2018 which will attract competitors from all over the country.

Following three weeks later will be the first of two eliminations for the National Senior Kickboxing squad, which, together with the massive Irish Open at the start of March, will also take place in Citywest.

There will be a lot more on the agenda for Tallaght and other local clubs, including the second round of senior squad qualifiers along with the National Cadet and Junior Championships.

In addition to the Irish Open, the international kickboxing front in 2018 will feature the WAKO World and Junior Championships in Italy in September following for the European Senior Championships in November.

Tallaght will also be fielding members in both the Dutch Open in March followed by the Hungarian Open in May.
