Tallaght is once again at the forefront of community development after it was chosen by the Alcohol Forum as a location for a pilot project  which will see Dublin 24 implement a tailored alcohol strategy that will inform a nationwide action plan.Front Tallaght

This is yet another example of how Dublin 24 is leading the way nationally through its involvement in pioneering projects, and is testament to the acclaimed, established and community-focused work being carried out by local services and organisations.
The Tallaght Drugs and Alcohol Task Force is responsible for the area landing the latest pilot project, which will not only inform national strategy but ensure that Tallaght gets early supports and interventions when it comes to tackling the issue of alcohol.
The Alcohol Forum is a registered charity that works to prevent and reduce alcohol-related harms in communities and is working at ground level to reduce alcohol consumption through local action. Read full story on page 6 of this week’s Echo, Tallaght Edition 22nd Jan 2015.
