
Taxi-man who allegedly assaulted a female passenger intends to fight case
A TAXI-man who allegedly assaulted a female passenger intends to fight his case, Tallaght Court has heard.
Puneet Rosha allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck and threw her out of his taxi.
Rosha, aged 29, with an address at Falcon View, New Navan Road, Dublin 15, is charged with assaulting a named female causing her harm at Stocking Avenue, Rathfarnham, on December 10, 2016.
Rosha’s solicitor, Padraig O’Donovan, told Judge Patricia McNamara that his client was pleading not guilty.
He said the case would take 90 minutes to hear.
Judge McNamara had previously accepted jurisdiction.
The court had heard it will be alleged that at 5am on December 10 last, Rosha picked up a female passenger in Leeson Street and was driving her to her home in Rathfarnham. It will be alleged that there was an argument over the fare and Rosha grabbed the woman by the neck and threw her out of the cab.
The injured party later reported the incident to the gardai.
The injured party received no medical treatment, the court had heard. Judge McNamara remanded Rosha on continuing bail to a date in December for hearing.
