Teenager (18) with no driving licence wants to become a chauffeur

A TEENAGER who wants to become a chauffeur has no driving licence, Tallaght District Court has heard.

Luke Wilson, aged 18, with addresses at Birchwood Heights, Tallaght, and Clarence Mangan Road, South Circular Road, Dublin 8, pleaded guilty to having no driving licence and failing to produce his driving licence at Drumcairn Drive, Tallaght, on October 13, 2017.

Wilson’s counsel told Judge Patricia McNamara that her client had been bringing a family friend to hospital when he was stopped.

Wilson told Judge McNamara that he wants to works as a chauffeur and would need a psv licence.

The Counsel asked the judge not to disqualify Wilson.

Judge McNamara asked Wilson if he had a licence. Wilson said he hadn’t.

She told him: “You need to do your test and get your licence.”

Convicting, she fined Wilson €95 for having no driving licence and €150 for failing to produce his licence.
