Her debut effort ‘Here’s to a Merry Christmas’ was recorded with David Walsh at Pure Music, Kingswood.
Taylor, a second-year pupil at Coláiste Bríde, has recently recorded a CD with six original songs, including the Christmas jingle.
According to proud mother Edel Dowling, Taylor is selling the CD to teachers and students at school, with all proceeds being donated to Pieta House, Ballyfermot.
Edel said: “Her inspiration for the song was taken from a music programme she attends with Clondalkin Youth Services under the direction of Colin Sheehy called the Irish Youth Music Awards.
This encourages budding musicians to write and record their own material with a final competition held in Croke Park every May.”
Taylor lives with her parents John and Edel and younger sister Lexi in Grangeview, and performed earlier this year at the Social Inclusion event in the Civic Theatre, Tallaght and more recently at a ceremony of remembrance to those lost to suicide in the area, organised by Cllr Francis Timmons.
Edel continued: “Her passion for music is growing and growing and she is constantly working on new material.
She is also the lead singer and guitarist of teenage band Jet Cloud which is currently on a break due to school commitments.
“Her influences are Queen, Panic at the Disco, Taylor Swift. But she aspires to play and sing like artists such as Gavin James, Dermot Kennedy, Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran.”
