Templeogue United gets approval for extension plans

TEMPLEOGUE United Football Club’s plans for an extension to its clubhouse on the Wellington Lane side of Tymon Park have been approved by South Dublin County Council.

The proposed development will consist of the construction of a new ground-floor, single-storey extension (77.6m2) to the north elevation of the existing football clubhouse.

The extension is to provide a new indoor activity space, a first-floor external viewing area (86.5m2) accessed from the existing first floor, and proposed new escape stairs from the new viewing area. T

The proposal includes the remodelling of the existing internal layout at ground floor only, and wheelchair access to and from the northern elevation of the existing building.

Wheelchair access is also proposed from the extension from southern elevation via the construction of a new ramp, and the provision of new entrance steps to the existing porch forms part of the plans.

On August 17 last, South Dublin County Council granted permission for the extension with a number of conditions, including the payment of a financial contribution of €8,735.43 to the council.

Templeogue United FC was established in 1977 and currently has in excess of forty teams playing at all levels and across numerous regional leagues.
