Third arrest in relation to arson and firearm investigation

GARDAI investigating criminal incidents of arson and the discharge of a firearm in the Clondalkin area between May 8 and May 15 arrested a man this morning.

According to a Garda statement issued, the man in his twenties is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

This is the third arrest as part of this ongoing investigation. 

On June 15, two other men (20s) were arrested. 

Gardai have confirmed that one of the men has since been charged. 

The second man was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Prosecutions.
