This painting of Tallaght has us swooning over the place we love

It’s no secret that we love Tallaght, and we never shy away from telling people when we meet them.

Even more, we love to show them how beautiful Tallaght can be, with pieces like ’36 pictures that show Tallaght is a beautiful place to live’ proving just that.

We also try and feature images, sketches and paintings of the area whenever we can, and today we were left speechless when a fellow Tallaght native popped up with the an incredible retrospective painting of the place where he grew up.

Now working for renowned animation house, Brown Bag Films as Art Director, Stephen O’Connor from Kilnamanagh created this stunning painting of Tallaght.

Described by Stephen as a “retrospective painting” of where he grew up, the piece “focuses on capturing a vibe” from his memory.

Many thanks to the guys at Brown Bag Films for all their help.
