Tractor Run harvests almost €20,000

AN IMPRESSIVE €19,750 was harvested from this year’s Bohernabreena Tractor Run, with the money split between the event’s two chosen charities.

The Tractor Run took to the field behind St Anne’s Church in Bohernabreena last month and through tractor registration fees, an auction, bucket donations on the day and public donations for tea, coffee and other goodies, €19,750 was raised for the Haematology Department at Tallaght Hospital and the Friends of St Luke’s Cancer Care.

Each charity was presented with a cheque for €9,875 during a special presentation night in St Anne’s GAA Club last Saturday, July 30.

Donie Anderson, a member of the Tractor Run Committee, told The Echo: “We always try and pick a charity that has a connection to a local family or that has supported people in the wider community and that’s why these two charities were chosen.

“We’d like to send out a really big thanks to everyone who came along on the day and made a donation and to all of the tractor drivers who registered.

“It was a very busy and successful Tractor Run this year, loads of people turned up and had a great day.”
