Trip to Tallaght petrol station lands €250k scratch card win
A NATIONAL Lottery player had a car journey to remember after popping into a Tallaght petrol station and leaving with a top scratch card win of €250,000.
The prize was won on a Mega Money Multiplier scratch card purchased at the Circle K petrol station on Mayberry Road in Kilnamanagh – after a last-minute decision by the lucky customer to make a scratch card purchase.
According to the winner, who has collected their prize from Lotto HQ: “I decided to mix things up a bit and go for a different scratch card to the one I might normally go for.
“I went out and sat in the car to scratch it and couldn’t believe my eyes.
“I’d just won €250,000!
“Even though you can see it right in front of you, you still can’t wrap your head around it!”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago.
In 2021 alone, €304 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
