NEW homes for older persons and people with disabilities officially opened this week in Drimnagh.
Up to 15 people will come off the council housing list after moving into the new WALK development.

WALK spearheaded the project in partnership with Dublin City Council.
Tenant Tim Chaney (69) who has been supported by WALK for the last 20 years, has lived in shared accommodation for the last 14 years.
Several years ago he expressed an ambition to move into his own accommodation.
Mr Chaney will continue to be supported by WALK and is looking forward to decorating his new home and inviting his friends and family to a housewarming.
Chairperson of WHA, John Bourke, said “After an extensive period of engagement between WHA, DCC, WALK and local residents we are delighted that people can now take up tenancy.”
WALK CEO Joe Mason also acknowledged the help and support shown for the project.
“I want to give sincere thanks to Dublin City Council Deputy Chief Executive Officer Brendan Kenny and all his team for their support throughout every step of the journey in this and other initiatives in which we have worked together.”
Up to six tenants have moved into the complex and WALK hope to confirm the other tenancies early in 2020 following consultation with the HSE.
