YOUNG Eva Mullen only joined a local singing and dancing agency in October 2017, but she is already starring in her first major movie picture.

Clondalkin schoolkid Eva (8) has a part in the horror flick The Other Lamb, which stars Michael Huisman, who was in Game of Thrones as ‘Daario Naharis’.

The movie was released this week in the USA and is due to premiere in Ireland and the UK on July 3.

Eva, a Scoil Ide second class pupil, joined Clondalkin MVW Talent agency at the behest of her proud mother Miriam Mullen.

“She was very quiet, I thought she would enjoy meeting other kids and she really enjoys it. She loves english, art and history,” said Miriam.

“They asked Maureen (MVW) and she recommended Eva, who auditioned and got the part. They asked ‘can you cry or laugh on demand’. Filming was between February to March in Wicklow and she loved it.

“It was freezing up there in the mountains. They had to wear dresses and double undercoats but she got along grand.

There is a scene where her mother dies and the crew gave her a round of applause. She got it in two or three cuts.

There was also some voiceover work in the Summer. She is different and is a different zone.”

Maureen Ward established Talented Kids in 2002, which later evolved to MVW Talented Kids Agency, and she was impressed with Eva’s “amazing performance.”

Maureen said: “She had to convey different types of emotions and act natural.

She was chosen to play the lead child role of ‘Lily’ and got on absolutely fabulously, really enjoyed every single second of playing her character. Eva loved the whole experience and cannot wait to do her next film.”

The Other Lamb, about a cult, also stars Denise Gough, Raffey Cassidy, and Aisling Doyle, another of Maureen’s protegees.

Former MVW Talented Kids include Seána Kerslake, Niamh Algar and Johnny Ward.
