The awards are open to young people between the ages of 5 and 18, and members of the public are invited to nominate a young person who they think is deserving of an award.

“Covid-19 has affected so many people in Dublin, impacting children’s physical and mental health as well as the wider community”, said the Lord Mayor, Hazel Chu.

“However, despite all the challenges faced by the global pandemic and subsequent lockdowns and restrictions, children and teenagers across Dublin have been resilient and have continued to do great work in their communities – from fundraising activities, to helping siblings and family members, to acts of kindness for neighbours or friends” she added.

Nominations will be open until April 21, 2021 and the winners will be announced at two youth webinars hosted by The Lord Mayor on April 29.

Prizes include a sculpture designed by Stephanie Hess, a scroll from the Lord Mayor and Dublin City Council and a €100 One4All voucher.

To nominate a young person and register to attend the webinars please visit the nomination portal on the Dublin City Council website HERE.
