Judge Gerard Jones made the five months concurrent to an existing prison sentence.

Sergeant Maria Callaghan said the car’s back window was smashed and a sample was taken from blood found on the rear seat.

DNA matched the accused, who was arrested and charged, she said.

Norton had prior convictions and was serving a sentence when he appeared in court.
